I am currently in the Telaga Harbor Marina on the island of Langkawi, Malaysia. I am sailing on a Lello 34 (a 34' sloop) singlehanded around the world. In December 2011 I should be heading towards the United States.
I've sailed from South Africa to Florida, USA, through the Panama Canal and across the Pacific to New Zealand and then to Sydney, Australia with crew.
Since leaving Sydney I've sailed solo. I went over the top of Australia, across the Indian Ocean to Sri Lanka, Aden, up the Red Sea, through the Suez Canal to Turkey before crossing Greece and the Adriatic up to Venice.
Then, in an inspired move, I decided to turn around rather than complete my circumnavigation.
So I went back across the Eastern Mediterranean, down the Red Sea, past India, to Thailand/Malaysia.
